special visitors

AAACCCKKK…Today is a big day!  My northern boy and his sweet family are coming to see us.  This will be their first trip here and to say I’m excited is definitely an understatement!

Needless to say, I doubt you’ll be hearing from me for a few weeks, as I savour every possible moment with my family.  To make it even sweeter, my techie boy and his lovely wife will be coming, too, just a week or so in.  This momma’s heart is near to bursting anticipating having them all here with me!

Because I’d never cooked this particular fish before, I was unsure… Continue reading what the hake?

Is this truly good advice?  The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can… Continue reading follow his heart

iced coffee

I am a coffee snob.  There, I said it.  First step to recovery, right?  I hope not.  I really like coffee. Hot coffee.  Cold coffee. Espresso.  An occasional latte or Americano. The odd flavoured coffee is okay; but I prefer freshly ground, bold blends, even in my Keurig. Those are my ‘druthers’ but in a pinch… Continue reading iced coffee

marriage

i like to hold your hand

Today my Love and I celebrate 30 years of marriage.  I thought I’d share my Facebook post from last year, as it really sums up our life together. I like to hold your hand. Mine fits so nicely in yours. There’s a security in that, a comfort. You’ve held my hand through many difficult times. Cried… Continue reading i like to hold your hand
